Treating Depression with Hypnosis

The National Institutes of Health report that 18.8 million adult Americans suffer from depression in any given year. Add the growing number of children to this figure and the numbers are epidemic.

Depression is more than "the blues". It is a chemical imbalance that can be managed, even cured, in most cases.

There is no need to suffer with depression, whatever its origin. Help is available and Hypnotherapy (Psychotherapy under hypnosis) provides fast, effective relief whether your depression is Organic or Functional.

Hypnotherapy can:

  • help restore the balance of the neural chemicals
  • teach coping skills
  • relieve the originating trigger of the depression

... all without medication and in a relaxed, comfortable manner.

Typical course of treatment is 4-5 sessions with relief seen almost immediately. Treatment times may vary depending on type of depression and severity.

A 16-year old boy suffering from severe depression with suicidal threats was off his meds and exhibiting positive attitude and ambitions and "happy for the first time in years" after six weeks of medical hypnosis.

A severely depressed adult male treated with traditional therapy for 6+ years was significantly more positive, happier, and able to deal with life after 4 sessions. "I can't believe the change... and so fast."

There are various forms of depression including:

  • Clinical Depression
  • Hormone-related (PMS, Post-Partum, Menopausal Depression)
  • Reactive Depression (Grief, Trauma)
  • and more.

It is believed that only 2% of depression is Organic (i.e. born with the condition). These people require life-long medication to balance the neural chemicals in their brain. Therapy can be helpful in learning to manage depresssion in these cases.

Most depression (98%) is Functional (i.e. reaction to a life event). In these cases, complete recovery is possible and medication, if needed, is only temporary.
